1. I attended a British Council Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for one year (September 1976 to September 1977) in the Textile Physics Laboratory, the University of Leeds, U.K.

2. A scientific visit to the University of Leeds, U.K. (July to September, 1984).

3. A scientific visit to the University of Leeds and University of Warwick, U.K. (July, 1986).

4. A scientific visit to the University of Reading, U.K. (July, 1988).

5. A scientific visit to the Technical University of Warsaw, The Technical University of Wrocŧaw and the Central Laboratory of Optics, Warsaw, Poland (May, 1989), I also attended the international conference “interferometry 89” and presented a paper as an invited speaker..

6. A scientific visit to the University of Roma, Italy (January, 1990).

7. A scientific visit to the Universities of Leeds, Reading and Surrey, U.K. and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), U.K. (October, 1990).

8. A scientific visit to the Universities of Reading, Surrey and Southampton, U.K. (November, 1991).

11. An official visit to five Universities in Hungary. This visit also included the Central Laboratory of Optics (Warsaw) and the Technical University of Warsaw, Poland (January, 1995).

12. An official visit to the U.K. (June, 1995) for :

• Attending the meeting of the Board of the World Congress of Engineering Educators and Industry Leaders.

• Visiting the Overseas Development Administration (ODA)

• Visiting the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield as well as the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.

14. Official visits to some Tunisian Universities and Institutes as a member of the official delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education (February, 1998).

15. An official visit to some American Universities as a member of the delegation accompanying the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss the joint cooperation between the American and Egyptian Universities under the umbrella of the Mubarak-Algore agreement (May, 1998).

16. An official visit to Saudi Arabian Universities and Institutes as a member of the delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education with a view to discuss the joint cooperation between these institutions and their Egyptian counterparts (April, 1999).

17. An official visit to some Universities and Institutes in Ozbakhistan (April, 2000).

18. A visit to the Technical University of Liberec, Czeck Republic in order to :

• Attend the “International Conference Textile Science 2000” and present a paper as an invited speaker.

• Discuss the possible fields of joint cooperation between the Technical University of Liberec and the University of Mansoura (June, 2000).

19. An official visit to Guelph University in Canada and to Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon Universities in U.S.A. to discuss the joint cooperation between these universities and the University of Mansoura specially in the field of Basic Science (May, 2001).

20. An official visit to Tsukuba University in Japan to discuss the joint cooperation between this university and the University of Mansoura especially in the field of Basic Sciences (January, 2002).

21. An official visit to Bias Bremer Institute fur angeuwandte sreahlfethnik and Bremen University in Germany to discuss the joint cooperation between these institutes and the University of Mansoura specially in the field of Applied Optics (Oct., 2002).

22. A Scientific visit to University of Athens and some private Universities in Greece to discuss the cooperation with these universities (May, 2003).
